Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner, N.Srikanth had written a letter to the government seeking permission to sue YSR Congress Leader, Tammineni Sitaram. The later made highly derogoratory remarks on the commissioner for his instructions to farmers not to lay second crop in the capital villages.
Tammineni also attacked Srikanth during his stint as collector in districts. Srikanth requested the government to allow him appoint a personal lawyer to deal with the case and also urged government to provide funds for the lawyer.
However since the case is about Land Pooling, government is unsure of allowing private lawyer. Government had sent the letter to Law department for advice. It is said that all the officials want the government to go ahead in this case as they feel it is not fair for political parties to target officials for their political gains.
