Devineni Avinash, the son of the late Devineni Rajashekar, is now under 45 years old and has tasted his third consecutive defeat in the 2024 elections. His father Devineni Rajashekar, who left TDP after the 1995 political coup, rejoined TDP in 2016 but passed away a few months later.
In 2019, TDP announced Avinash as its candidate opposite Kodali Nani from Gudiwada. He lost the election and immediately joined YSRCP. Subsequently, YS Jagan announced Avinash as the in-charge for Vijayawada East. To be frank, Avinash worked hard at the ground level to understand the people’s sentiments in that assembly segment. However, Gadde Rammohan won over Devineni with a huge margin of around 50K votes.
On another note, cases were filed against Devineni Avinash. Police suspected that he was the main culprit in the attack on the TDP office. Devineni Avinash approached the High Court for anticipatory bail in the case.
Anticipating the situation, he sent signals to Lokesh and Nara Bhuvaneswari to compromise on the cases against him. It is reported that Avinash is smartly negotiating with his father’s colleagues and the bigwigs in TDP.
According to buzz, Buchaiah Chowdary and Gadde Baburao (ex-MLA from Chipurupalli) have approached Lokesh on this issue. Lokesh outrightly rejected Avinash’s entry into TDP, recalling Avinash’s demand for an apology to enter Vijayawada city as part of the Prajagalam last August. There are also rumors that Avinash’s wife is trying to approach Nara Bhuvaneswari to handle the cases against him smoothly.
