Vallabhaneni Vamsi is facing unprecedented challenges in his bid to win Gannavaram this time. Dr. Dutta Ramachandra Rao, a key figure in the constituency, has refrained from supporting him.
Although Dr. Dutta’s daughter and son-in-law initially joined Vamsi’s camp, they were unable to garner the backing of Dr. Dutta, who was once severely humiliated by Vamsi.
Consequently, Dr. Dutta’s group is working for the victory of TDP’s candidate Yarlagadda. Some members of this group have joined Yarlagadda, while others defected to TDP before the elections.
Incidents such as the public insult to TDP chief Chandrababu’s wife Bhuvaneswari in the Vamsi Assembly and Chandrababu’s emotional reaction have deeply affected the constituency’s populace.
Amid these challenges, Vamsi appears mentally prepared for defeat, which is why he has refrained from misappropriating funds. Vamsi has acted strategically in the distribution of election funds. It is reported that he was allocated around Rs. 50 crores by the party.
Additionally, his followers claim that Vamsi collected another Rs. 10 crores from various sections of the community. These funds were purportedly distributed to voters, but only to those who were certain to support YSRCP.
