Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is exploring a massive tourism push with a proposal to set up Disney Land in Anantapur. Reports suggest that officials have been instructed to hold talks with Walt Disney on bringing the global wonderland to Rayalaseema.
If the plan materializes, Anantapur will be placed on India’s tourism map, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs while transforming the region’s economy. This project could change the face of Rayalaseema by making it a hub of global tourism.
The CM also directed officials to promote home stays in spiritual and tourist centers across the state. He believes Andhra Pradesh’s hidden gems can attract visitors, provided the right infrastructure is created for a world-class tourism experience.
Apart from Disney Land, Chandrababu is pushing for beach tourism along the state’s 974 km coastline, wellness tourism, and film tourism. With places like Dindi Beach, AP aims to emerge as a vibrant tourist destination in the coming years.
