In response to this chief minister, Revanth Reddy has taken this on priority and has acted very quickly on the same. He has proposed a complete cleanup of the Durham Cheruvu region now.
Cyberabad Municipal Corporation informed that the entry to Durgam Cheruvu will remain closed on 10th & 11th September 2026 due to maintenance works by HMWSSB to improve facilities at premises.
This swift action from the Telangana government is the need of the hour, considering the kind of public backlash that had emerged after the pictures and videos of the polluted lake went viral.
This place was bustling with audience and visitors everyday and the count went down in the recent past after the debris collection. But the authorities are finally coming to action now, and the cleanup job is happening today and tomorrow.
