Ex CID ADG N Sanjay surrenders in court

Ex ADG of CID N Sanjay has finally surrendered before the Vijayawada ACB Court. The court has ordered his remand till September 9. Sanjay is known for press meets with Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, where he targeted Chandrababu Naidu after his arrest in September 2023.

The Supreme Court had earlier directed Sanjay to surrender within four weeks. Acting on the Apex Court’s order, he appeared before the ACB Court. A case was registered against him for alleged misappropriation of funds during his tenure as DG of AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services.

In January 2025, the High Court granted him anticipatory bail. But in July 2025, after the AP government filed an SLP, the Supreme Court canceled his bail plea. Following this, the Apex Court ordered him to surrender before the court.
