The social networking giant, Facebook finally decided to cross swords with spammers who promise to deliver ‘Fake Likes’ to their customers. These scams have become a big menace in the recent times and companies have come up with the promise of delivering X number of ‘Likes’ for some ‘Y’ amount of money. These services reportedly are used by several celebrities, politicians and companies selling products across the World to boost their popularity.
Facebook is currently working on algorithms which identify such suspicious activity and will take counter measures like blocking accounts and removing fake likes all at once. Facebook is also considering taking the scam companies to the court for the promise of Fake Likes. Facebook has been countering this problem for a long time but finally took it very serious on the slow of complaints of its page owners, advertisers in recent times. The World’s biggest social networking company now promises Facebook users and advertisers with real connections and results, not fakes going further.
