With each passing day, more details are being unravelled about the involvement of YSR Congress leaders and supporters in the Madanapalle Sub-Collector office’s fire accident case.

The police are investigating the case and are questioning YCP leaders who are accused in this matter. In a recent development, the cops served notices to former YCP MLA Nawaz Basha’s house. As Nawaz was in Bengaluru, the police officials called him and asked him to attend the questioning.

Already, the police have taken former Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy’s primary associate and Municipal Vice-Chairman, Jinka Venkata Chalapathi.

Even Rajampeta MP Midhun Reddy’s associate was also taken into custody and was questioned by the police.

A major fire accident broke out on the eastern side of the Madanapalle Sub-Collector’s office on July 23. It was suspected that YCP leaders planned this incident to sabotage key files of various lands.

Around 2,440 crucial files were destroyed in this fire accident and only 700 files could be saved.

The AP government, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, ordered a strict probe into the incident. The police intensified the investigation and found key clues through CCTV footage. They are questioning various YCP leaders and supporters who are under their radar.




The police said that they would acquire key pieces of the evidence once the forensic report was out in a day or two.
