It is official that TDP will be contesting 151 seats while Janasena will be in the fray for the remaining 24 seats in the upcoming elections. If BJP joins the seat-sharing may change a bit.
TDP had announced its first list of candidates with 94 names while Janasena announced five candidates.
Another good sign in the candidates list is both the parties made one sacrifice each.
TDP had sacrificed the Tenali seat while Janasena let go of the Rajahmundry Rural seat.
Alapati Raja is a senior leader in Tenali. Surveys are favoring his victory this time. Chandrababu agreed to sacrifice Tenali’s seat to accommodate Janasena’s Number Two Nadendla Manohar.
As far as Janasena is concerned, Kandula Durgesh is close to Pawan Kalyan and has worked hard on the ground in Rajahmundry Rural.
According to a report in Andhrajyothy, Pawan Kalyan, however, agreed to leave the seat.
TDP’s Senior-most leader and sitting MLA, Gorantla Bucchiah Chowdary will be the candidate for Rajahmundry Rural. But it is not announced in the first list.
This accommodative mindset will be very important for the alliance to succeed. Now the onus is on both the leaders to convince the supporters, cadres, and their vote banks to ensure the vote transfer happens smoothly.
