The Madhya Pradesh farmer protest turned red with an open fire during the agitation on Tuesday around 2 PM. The farmers were in the protest for about a week demanding hike in the prices of onion and dal along with the waivers of the loans.

The protest has started on 1st June and the farmers seem to have agitated furiously last night being involved in burning vehicles and breaking the railway fences. The agitation just became worse on Tuesday morning with the farmers starting to throw stones at the controlling policemen and that is when the firing occurred.
MP Home Minister Bhupendra Singh stated that no orders have been passed for the open fire and police were not involved in the firing. He said that some external forces have made this violent act and a probe has been raised on the same to know the facts. Meanwhile, the government has announced 10 Lakh compensation to the farmers who died in the tragedy and one Lakh for the ones who were severely injured.
