A fresh development has emerged in the ongoing Formula e-Racing case. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has already completed its report and has now forwarded it to the vigilance department for further review.
The vigilance department will examine the report for two days before taking a decision. If it decides to proceed with chargesheets against the accused, the file will be sent back to the ACB for action.
As per reports, BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) is named as A1 in the case. Senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar is listed as A2, while former HMDA engineer BLN Reddy is A3. The case also includes A4 and A5.
The ACB has interrogated KTR twice and Arvind Kumar three times as part of the investigation. The case revolves around alleged irregularities in organising the Formula e-Racing event.
KTR has called the case a “lotha peesu” issue, claiming it is politically motivated. He alleges that the Congress-led Telangana government is pursuing this case as an act of political vendetta. He insists that all transactions were transparent and there was no wrongdoing.
With the file now in the vigilance department, attention has turned to what action the government might take next. An official announcement is expected soon.
