Center sitting on AP's shift from Hyderabad

It is already known that Andhra Pradesh government is determined to shift its administration to Amaravati by June 1st next year. The state government is planning to shift the key departments of the secretariat to Medha IT Towers in Gannavaram. But before doing that, the IT SEZ had to be denotified by the center.

However the central government is sitting on the proposal for quite some time now. They say there are several requests for denotification from Tamil Nadu and other states. Clearning AP’s proposal will mean that the remaining states will pressurize the center over their requests too.

So the center is sitting on the file. But given the special conditions prevailing in Andhra Pradesh, there is no way out. Things will get very difficult if Medha Towers will not house the secretariat.
