Starting Wednesday, July 16, 2025, drunk & drive tests will be conducted during day time too. Traffic joint CP Joel Davis participated in a special drive held at Mint Compound.
In the past, we would conduct drunk & drive tests during night time. Now, we will conduct them during day time, shared Joel Davis. Recently, when we conducted tests, 25 school bus drivers were found to be drunk. Hence, we have started the new drive, shared Davis.
The police will take action even if 30 mg of alcohol is found during breath analyzer test. The police warn that severe action will be taken for drunk & drive cases. The initiative is to avoid road accidents, say traffic police.
Today, many criminal activities are happening due to drunkards. In Telangana, the numbers of those consuming alcohol has only gone up. This is resulting in road accidents apart from other crimes. This led the traffic police to take the step.
So, now, the police will check anytime. Beware!
