During these operations, Eagle teams arrested five DJs for performing after consuming drugs. The arrests followed sudden raids on four pubs based on specific tip-offs. Officials confirmed that drug use was detected during the inspections.
Investigations revealed that the DJs were under the influence while performing. They were taken into custody and questioned by the police. The arrests took place at Buffalo Wild Wings, Sherlock Illusion, and Wave pubs.
DJs Sridhar, David, Tanveer Singh, Manibhshanam, and Ravikrishna were arrested during the raids. Police stated that further details emerged during interrogation. The case has drawn attention to drug use within nightlife spaces.
Eagle Teams stated that DJs were using drugs to stay energetic and attract youth. They warned that strict action would continue as drug culture grows in pubs. The goal, they said, is to make Hyderabad a drugs-free city.
Officials are also probing the possible role of pub owners in these activities. While the city remains largely drug free, citizens are demanding tighter vigilance. Calls for stricter monitoring of pubs and clubs across Hyderabad have grown louder.
