Hyderabad: Drunken Drive Kills 7-Year-Old Kid

Of late, drunken drive accidents have been alarmingly increasing in Hyderabad. Although police are saying that they are conducting frequent drunken driving tests and are imposing strict actions, the rate of accidents is not decreasing.

In the latest incident, a 7-year-old kid was killed in a road accident where a car hit a bike in the Ibrahimbagh area near Golkonda. It was reported that the car driver was drunk while driving.

According to the details, the victim’s father Ramesh is a private employee who resides in the YSR Colony near Golkonda.

Last night, Ramesh, along with his son Shourya, were travelling on a bike towards their home from Ibrahimbagh.

At the same time, an individual named Srinath, who was in an intoxicated state, hit the bike with his car. It was identified that Srinath resides in the Maruthinagar area near Shaikpet.

In the accident, Ramesh sustained minor injuries, but his son Shourya was severely injured. The locals immediately took both of them to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Shourya passed away on the way.




The police have taken the complaint from the local residents and filed a case against the accused Srinath. His vehicle has been seized and a few liquor bottles were found in his car.
