There’s a widespread opinion that Hyderabad has the best cuisine for any city in all of South India. And notably, the Merdian Hotel in Punjagutta is believed to have one of the finest biryanis in all of Hyderabad.
Incidentally, the Meridian Hotel in Hyderabad is in the news for all the wrong reasons now.
Going into the story, a customer named Liyaqat went to the hotel and was having food there. He then asked for some extra curd. Strangely, things flared up and there was a verbal altercation between the staff and the aforementioned man.
One thing led to another and the staff are said to have attacked Liyakath physically. The staff and Liyaqat were shifted to Punjagutta police station for inquiry. Incidentally, Liyaqat collapsed at the police station and was rushed to the hospital
Sadly, the man lost his life while getting treated at the hospital. Of all the shocking reasons there are, this man died due to an attack from hotel staff for asking extra curd. Punjagutta police have filed a case and are investigating the series of incidents.
