With respect to the meet with Polavaram farmers, speaking to media, Pawan reacted to the critic comments saying that he is not being soft to Naidu in handling the Polavaram package issue. He said that he is not soft-pedaling TDP but being careful in conveying the issue in a proper way.

Farmers complained to Pawan that the government is doing injustice to them in the package that has been allocated to them. They requested Pawan to make the government increase the package in order to make their land handover worth it. There were a few sarcastic comments on Pawan’s approach to the government for the Polavaram package issue.
Answering these comments and to clarify on his plan of resolving the problem, Pawan said that he just cannot speak with a forked tongue and that he can’t be hard on a party like TDP which holds 40 years experience, which is why is he trying to solve the problem in a practical and sensible way.
