Illegal Constructions: Notices Issued To BRS MLA

Marri Rajasekhar Reddy

The Congress government instituted HYDRAA to take serious action against illegal construction in Hyderabad.

Already, HYDRA initiated their work and sent tremors across those who encroached on lakes and built illegal structures. Meanwhile, the Revenue officials have issued notices to BRS MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy regarding his educational institutions.

The revenue officials found that Rajasekhar Reddy’s MLRIT and Institute of Aeronautical Engineering colleges were constructed in the buffer zone and full tank level of Chinna Damera Lake. Meanwhile, there is no update about the further action yet.

On Tuesday, HYDRAA commissioner AV Ranganath mentioned that they will not immediately act on the educational institutions that are constructed by encroaching on the lakes.

Ranganath opined that since we are in the middle of the academic year, demolishing the educational institutions will impact the students.

“We will issue notices to educational institutions first and they will have to move students to elsewhere. After that, they themselves should demolish the structures. If that does not happen, HYDRA will initiate action,” revealed Ranganath, adding, “Be it Malla Reddy or Owaisi, HYDRAA rules will be the same for everyone.”

AV Ranganath made these comments in the context of complaints against Fathima Owaisi College which was illegally constructed on Salkam Chervu in Bandlaguda.
