The Andhra Pradesh government is currently evaluating the incentives to be offered to Infosys. The company has reportedly sought support for infrastructure development. Officials are considering these requests as part of the agreement.

Infosys and its allied companies operate in nearly 50 countries worldwide. In south India, Infosys already has campuses in Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Mangalore. It also maintains offices in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.

With the addition of Vizag, Infosys will have a presence in all southern states. Talks between Infosys and the AP government have been ongoing for the past few months. At present, Infosys operates from a temporary office in Vizag.

The proposed campus drew attention after IT Minister Nara Lokesh posted a tweet. He asked Vizag to be ready, stating that world champions were coming to the city. His message sparked curiosity and speculation among netizens.

Vizag is rapidly emerging as a hub for Indian and global technology companies. Google is setting up its data center cluster in the city. TCS, Cognizant, and Accenture are also planning offices here.

Once known mainly as an east coast naval base, Vizag has transformed significantly. Today, it is gaining recognition on the global map as a promising IT hub. The Infosys campus is expected to further boost this momentum.
