Inturi Ravikiran to Be Prosecuted in Council?

Political Punch Inturi Ravikiran was asked to submit his statement on the allegations by 25th or 26th of this month with Tullur Police. The statement and the case findings will be submitted to the Legislative Council who will decide upon him using the special privileges of the house.

During the Telangana agitation days, KTR’s driver assaulted Lok Satta Jaya Prakash Narayana in the Assembly. The house sent him to Jail for 30 days using its Special Privileges. Inturi is likely to face the trial of the Council in a similar fashion.

YSR Congress may be in trouble as well for employing Inturi and encouraging him to produce material that defames the house and the members. Already notices were served to YSR Congress Social Media Wing and Police have raided their office.

YSR Congress alleges that this is suppression of the Freedom of Social Media but going by the cartoons on Political Punch Facebook Page, it is clear that the intention is to defame TDP and its leaders. Some of the posts are way beyond the civility which people will not support.
