Every day reveals more of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government’s mounting debt.
According to the recent Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, the Jagan administration incurred debts for about 341 days out of the 365 days in a year.
The report stated that the government has been taking debt incessantly in some or the other form.
CAG opined that the state’s income and central government’s funds might not be enough to implement welfare schemes and for development projects.
That might be the reason why the government might be taking debts from the union government and other organisations.
CAG report remarked that the AP government took a debt of Rs. 57,066 crores under OD in the financial year 2022-23.
