The Pulivendula Assembly constituency has historically been with the YS family for many decades. Regardless of the candidate from the YS family, the people of Pulivendula always back them with their fullest support.
However, Jagan is currently facing every problematic situation in Pulivendula, which is not what was expected originally.
After having secured the seat by a majority of more than 91,000 votes in 2019, Jagan slipped to a situation as his major majority fell to just 60,000 votes in the next election. The water body elections that were held in Pulivendula were also swept by the TDP recently.
So it is becoming increasingly clear that Jagan is facing a round of negativity in his own bastion of Pulivendula and things are starting to look very different now.
As a result, Jagan has started to frequently visit the Pulivendila constituency and make his presence felt here on a consistent basis. This is something that is being observed now.
Even today, Jagan arrived in Pulivendula and he will be staying there for the next three days, and this happens to be his sixth or seventh such visit for this native place in the last couple of years.
Previously, Jagan was not even bothered about touring Pulivendula while he was the CM and his election campaign was also carried out by his wife Bharathi. But things have changed it now, as Jagan appears to be bothered about the voting here and is repeatedly putting efforts to be with the people of this segment.
