It is reported that CM Jaganmohan Reddy has declined to give a ticket to Narasaraopet MP Laavu Srikrishna Devarayalu from the same seat this time. Jagan advised Lau to contest from Guntur, but Srikrishna Devarayalu has decided not to contest from Guntur.
Despite the request from six MLAs under the Lok Sabha jurisdiction, urging the CM to give Narasaraopet ticket to Lau, the result was not achieved, as Jagan reportedly did not heed to these requests.
It is said that Lau Srikrishna Devarayalu has communicated clearly to the CM that he cannot contest from Guntur and will withdraw from the election.
The CM mentioned that the Narasaraopet MP ticket will be given to BCs. Srikrishna Devarayalu informed the CM that he would contest if Narasaraopet was given to him; otherwise, he would withdraw.
Unlike other YSRCP MPs, Srikrishna Devarayalu raised issues in Parliament and attempted to secure funds from the Union Government.
Despite the support of all YSRCP MLAs under the Narsaraopet Parliament constituency, such as Kasu Mahesh Reddy (Gurajala), Gopi Reddy Srinivasa Reddy (Narasaraopet), Pinnelli (Macharla), and MLCs Marri and Jenga, who want Srikrishna Devarayalu as the MP candidate, Jagan denied their request.
