JanaSena has suspended its Krishna district leader Karri Mahesh after he allegedly attacked a home guard in Machilipatnam. The party announced that his active membership was suspended, with Machilipatnam in-charge Bandi Ramakrishna making the statement.
Ramakrishna mentioned that though full details of the case were not available, a case was filed against Karri Mahesh, leading to immediate suspension. He added that Pawan Kalyan does not support such behaviour and will not tolerate indiscipline.
He further stated that many leaders and workers entered politics inspired by Pawan Kalyan, but disciplinary action will be taken without exception. No one will be spared if they break the party’s rules, he said.
Home guard Mohan Rao was reportedly attacked both verbally and physically by Karri Mahesh over a minor issue. Following the incident, Rao lodged a complaint with his superiors, who registered a case against Karri Mahesh.
Pawan Kalyan has repeatedly stressed that leaders must act responsibly, regardless of party affiliation. He also supported CM Chandrababu’s view that politicians should remain disciplined and follow social norms.
