Why JanaSena Must Think Beyond 60 to 70 Seats

JanaSena leaders should not focus only on securing 60 to 70 Assembly seats without considering the larger alliance equation, Minister Nadendla Manohar reportedly said at a party meeting in Visakhapatnam.

He urged the party to contest seats where it has a genuine chance of winning, while cautioning leaders against weakening the alliance that brought them to power.

“Let us take the seats we can certainly win, but we should not cut down the branch we are sitting on,” Manohar said, stressing that power also comes with responsibility towards the party and its allies.

His remarks send a clear message to JanaSena cadre. Party workers need to understand Pawan Kalyan’s political strategy instead of viewing seat-sharing only through personal ambitions.

The debate is not just about how many seats JanaSena should demand. It is about balancing organisational growth, electoral strength and alliance stability.

If JanaSena wants to expand its presence, it must do so without weakening the alliance that created the opportunity for its growth.
