Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa who is currently housed in Parapanna Agrahara Central prison, Bangalore for disproportionate assets found in 1996 is still trying to be in touch with her state politics. She is getting Tamil and English Newspapers supplied to her everyday and now, she has requested the jail authorities to move her to another barrack so that she can subscribe another various Tamil channels, including K-TV, Sun TV and Jaya TV.
The jail authorities also told that Jayalalithaa is preferring to stay alone and is rarely speaking to anyone except the doctors attending her. She is remaining glued to the News channels most of the time in her barrack. Till Tuesday she used to have a morning and evening walk in the jail but now stopped it citing security reasons. Being a diabetic, she is allowed to eat food brought from out side other than the food supplied in the prison.The hearing of her case is posted to October 7th in the recent hearing.
