According to the complaint, Meghana married Jogi Ramesh’s eldest son, Rajiv, a native of Kodad, a year ago. Due to family disputes, she had been living separately for some time, and multiple attempts at reconciliation by elders failed.

In her complaint, Meghana stated that family members subjected her to severe mental harassment, locked her alone in an upstairs room, and prevented her from interacting with anyone.

She alleged that when she questioned this treatment, family members assaulted her, and her husband Rajiv physically abused her frequently out of anger, culminating in an attempt by the family to take her life. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
