Tale of Two BJP Ministers in AP

BJP has Two Ministers in Chandrababu Naidu’s Cabinet. Kamineni Srinivasa Rao who holds the Health Ministry while Manikyala Rao oversees the endowments ministry. Both the Ministers are two different types and deemed to be not useful to the party by its supporters in two different ways.

Kamineni despite being a BJP man has just joined the party before the elections. He is more of a Chandrababu’s candidate elected on BJP ticket. He was sent to BJP because Naidu wants a strong man to contest from the Kaikalur constituency.

Even today, Kamineni always acts as a Naidu’s man and never loses a chance to shower praises on the Chief Minister. If at all, TDP and BJP alliance breaks up, he will be the first BJP leader to join TDP. And then there is Manikyala Rao who is a staunch RSS man.

Despite being elected and getting Minister from TDP Support, Manikyala Rao always moves closer to YSR Congress leaders of his constituency. At the same time, there are no instances of him supporting his own party as well. Political Experts say if TDP and BJP break their alliance, Manikyala Rao can not go to TDP and can not win from BJP and will be the first BJP leader to join YSR Congress. With such men, BJP hopes to become a decisive force in AP Politics.
