Bharatiya Janata Party has received a major shot in its arm in Andhra Pradesh after Congress leader, Ex-Minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana joined the party a short while ago in the presence of the party’s national President, Amit Shah.
The Ex-Minister is a prominent leader of Kapu community and is being a face of Congress party in Kapu community over the years. Kanna contested from Congress in the last elections and lost badly over TDP candidate. It took a while for Kanna to realize Congress has no future in Andhra Pradesh and decided to bite the bullet.
It is said that Ex-MP of Eluru, Kavuri Samba Siva Rao who also jumped from Congress to BJP before the recent elections played a crucial role in motivating Kanna towards BJP. However some say people like Kavuri, Kanna have their stamp in people as strong Congresswadis and they have already lost significance in political front and will be of very little use to BJP in the state.
