The controversy of Nagarjuna’s N-Convention is far from over. It is known that KCR government has issued notices to the convention center for allegedly encroaching lands of Thammidikunta river. Nagarjuna has approached the court regarding the same and the high court gave a green signal to the government to proceed according to law but issue notices before taking action. Accordingly, the officials have slapped a notice for the re-survey of the Full Tank Level (FTL) of the river.
The re-survey began a short while ago in the presence of the convention people. GHMC officials will slap notices to the convention and other properties near the river after the encroachments are determined. After the survey, the officials will also mark the boundaries of the river FTL with boundary stones. It is known that GHMC officials allege 3.12 acres of Thammidikunta river was encroached for the 6.69 acres convention which is owned by actor Nagarjuna. The municipal corporation officials have also said that the construction did not have permissions from GHMC and also Nagarjuna is not paying any tax for GHMC for the past 5 years.
