Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has toured Delhi recently and met leaders of various regional parties. He will go on another trip tomorrow.
Buzz in the political circles is that KCR is trying to unify all the opposition political parties to put up a candidate in the upcoming Presidential election against the NDA’s candidate.
He is reportedly mooting the candidature of anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare as the Opposition’s candidate.
Hazare’s candidature will garner support from the entire opposition, KCR believes.
He is expecting Congress not to put up a candidate and support Anna Hazare.
BJP is marginally short of a majority to win the President’s election. It is banking on the support of the parties like YSR Congress.
KCR is scheduled to visit Ralegaon Siddhi on May 27 and meet Anna Hazare.
NDA is yet to announce the candidate for the President’s elections but rumors are rife that Venkaiah Naidu can be the one.
