Telangana’s First Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is silently drawing plans for the industrial growth of the state. While the government is preparing industrial policy which it calls best in the World, KCR had also directed Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) to identify 15 lakh acres for new industrial units. It is also said that TSIIC had already achieved the target.
Out of this 15 Lakh acres, 10 lakh acres are located either close to existing industrial areas or district headquarters and main roads. Government is planning to ease all the existing rules and make sure these lands are granted all the permissions from all the departments before sanctioning them to any new industry. KCR wants to make sure the industries start the construction just a month after the granting of lands. It is said that 25,000 acres of this land will be developed in HMR and Hyderabad-Warrangal corridor in the next six months and the remaining lands will be developed in phases over the next 2-3 years.
