It is common for opposition party MLAs to join the ruling party after the election. But it the other way around with YSRCP as the party has been losing MLAs and key leaders to opposition camps.
One such rebel MLA is Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy from Nellore district. He has now warned YCP of serious anti-incumbency in the state.
“When TDP leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy protested against illegal mining, the police officers arrested him. Instead of arresting those behind the illegal mining in Nellore, they arrested the man who is protesting against it. They(YCP) might have power today but things will change in two months. YCP will face terrible fate.” Sridhar Reddy said.
The YCP rebel MLA has also made a bold prediction on the coming election result. “TDP and JSP will come to power with 160 MLA seats. They have 57% vote share on their side. This will be the reality and this is when the real game starts for YCP” he stated.
The fact that an MLA who contested on YCP ticket during the landslide 2019 campaign is now predicting 160 seats for TDP and JSP could well be an indication of the YCP’s situation in AP.
