The other day, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has met his Tamil Nadu Counterpart, MK Stalin in Chennai, and had a private meeting with him. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of KCR trying to counter the BJP wave back home.
Meanwhile, Tamil media is abuzz with what has happened in the meeting. They say KCR wants to hand over the reins to the next-in-line waiting (son KTR) and move to ‘Delhi’ with 2024 plans. He reportedly stressed ‘Credible Opposition, Regional Parties & Unity’ in the meeting with MK Stalin.
There are signs of anti-incumbency in Telangana and Telangana Rashtra Samiti is losing elections to BJP. Buzz is that KCR is being advised by the people to make KTR the Chief Minister as soon as possible to change a perception of the people. After anti-incumbency, KTR may be a fresh and better face than KCR to face the election.
They also warn him that he may not get a chance in case TRS loses the next election. It looks like KCR is moving to Delhi for a better reason to coronate KTR.
