Big Scam Or Fake News? CM’s Real Estate In Focus!

CM Mohan Yadav faces questions over Ujjain land

Generally, the chief ministers are the first in line when it comes to first hand information on public infrastructure development projects and real estate boom localities.

Subsequently, many CMs face complaints of inside trading and targeted development which refers back to their private equities and investments. The same is turning out to be the case with Madhya Pradesh’s CM Mohan Yadav.

According to a national media report, Mohan Yadav became Madhya Pradesh CM, his family and real estate companies reportedly bought at least 137 plots spread over 168 acres in and around Ujjain.

This targeted investment coincides with the time when Ujjain is being reshaped for Simhastha 2028 with highways, road widening, townships, riverfront projects, medical city, IT park and new commercial zones.

The most interesting part is this out of the 168 acres that his family bought after he became CM, 111 acres are reportedly located along roads announced by CM Mohan Yadav himself.

The CM’s family had always been active in real estate sector but after Dec 2023, the land buying saw a sharp jump, right when Ujjain’s development map started turning into a goldmine.

On the contrary, people close to Mohan Yadav have rejected reports based on an article alleging irregularities, calling the claims misleading.

According to the CMO, all assets mentioned in the report were already disclosed in election affidavits and are available in public records so there’s no sudden scam or real estate boom, as is being spread all over.
