Arch-Rivals India and Pakistan are engaged in a severe altercation at the Borders. The situation is so tense. Last night, there was so much information about Pakistan trying to attack India, but our forces are alert to foil all those attempts.
There is a lot of misinformation in the mainstream media, too.

NTV reported that Karachi Port was attacked by India in a retaliatory drone & missile strike from INS Vikrant.
This news is generating so much of Ratings on Channels and Views for their YouTube Channels. So, they are motivated even more to publish such News without verifying the authenticity.
Sadly, Eenadu ,which is considered a credible media house, has also fallen in this mad race.
Eenadu today published a Banner item saying that the Indian Armed Forces captured a Pakistani soldier alive on Indian Soil.
The Story said India gunned down two Pakistani fighter jets in Jalandar, including one F16, and the F16 pilot was captured by the Indian Army.
So far, neither government has confirmed this development. Keeping aside the authenticity of the issue, the image Eenadu used for the Story is Fake.
It is a 2016 image from Turkey.
Many news channels and websites, as well as a few newspapers, including Eenadu, carried this.
It is sad that even Eenadu is not doing enough Fact-Checking before publishing such sensitive News.
But then, the Picture has been removed from Eenadu Epaper now. However, Eenadu is the only Media House at least to correct the Mistake while the remaining Media Houses are still keeping them alive.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence is continuously appealing to the media to report responsibly.
Past incidents like the Kargil War, 26/11 attacks, and the Kandahar hijacking underscore the risks of premature reporting. So the Media should be very responsible.
M9 News had voluntarily taken an Editorial Decision to be very careful in the reporting. We have decided to report the issue responsibly without running after sensationalism.
