Telangana government speaks high of its plans to develop the tourism of Telangana and put it on World Map. But the officials are extremely reckless in promoting the state. The errors that have crept in the annual calendar of the state are example of their recklessness.
The annual calendar titled ‘The Legacy of Hyderabad’ even after being aesthetically appealing, with sepia-toned pictures has several errors and even wrongly identified historical monuments. The picture for August month has been identified as Purana Pul, when in fact, it is of Naya Pul.
The June month carried a picture of Afzal Gunj, which is on the north side of the Musi. However, it is actually the Naya Pul-Chatta Bazaar area that is depicted. The Famous Falaknuma Palace was put in February page but it has only the arch gate of the Palace.
