State BJP after the 2014 elections always gave indications of disassociating with TDP and growing as an independent force by 2019. The Center had dried up funds for the state so that Chandrababu Naidu’s popularity graph do not rise. However the party’s central leadership is confused about the strategy of the party in the state.

While a strong section wants to dissociate with the TDP, another equally strong section wants status quo. This confusion also delayed the appointment of the new Party President for AP. The Central committee will decide on it before June 8th and that will clear what will be the BJP’s stance for the next elections.
If the party decides to take anti-TDP stance, huge meetings will be held in all the districts of the state and central leaders will grace the meetings to give serious look for them. BJP feels that YSR Congress will be decimated by 2019 and it has good chances to fill the political vacuum existing in the state, if possible with the help of Janasena.
