Supreme Court had agreed to deffer the results of MPTC/ZPTC Elections. Election Commission had confirmed that they will be conducting this elections in two phases on April 6th and 11th. EC also cleared that it is ready to announce the results on April 13th. However the petitioner argued that these results if let out will have an influence on the General elections and requested the court to defer the results until the completion of the elections.

The supreme court had agreed to the petitioner’s view and ordered the election commission to release the results of MPTC/ZPTC elections after May 7th, the polling date in the Seema Andhra region. This move will relax the political parties a bit as they are finding it tough to concentrate all the elections at a time and at the same time they fear these elections will have an influence on the main elections. Even Political analysts felt that this elections will be semi finals to the General elections.
