There has been so much discussion about Mudragada Padmanabham joining the YSR Congress. But today, there is a sudden twist altogether.
TDP Senior leader Jyothula Nehru met Mudragada and discussed the possibility of the Kapu community being united. A few Janasena leaders also met Mudragada and there are rumors that Pawan Kalyan may meet him in a couple of days.
Meanwhile, Mudragada’s son, Giribabu speaking to the media said that Mudragada is not keen on joining YSR Congress and they may join TDP or Janasena. He also said both his father and himself are interested in contesting the election this time.
Mudragada joining TDP is nothing but the height of political opportunism.
Mudragada degraded Chandrababu Naidu a lot before 2019 and until recently, he was writing letters making allegations on TDP. He was one of the pawns of Jagan to defeat Chandrababu Naidu in 2019.
If he is admitted into TDP, it is nothing but opportunistic politics. People will never accept such unethical practices.
It will be of no use to TDP or the alliance.
Chandrababu just sent a positive message by leaving out a motormouth like Kesineni Nani. If someone like Mudragada is allowed into the party, it is like sending a message that anyone can mudsling about the party and the leader and come back royally.
It also looks like TDP and Janasena are being too desperate about the Kapu community. A similar desperation in the 2019 elections by TDP backfired badly. BCs consolidated with the YSR Congress and the Kapu community also rallied with Jagan sensing the desperation.
In fact, no TDP sympathizer will vote for father and son even if they contest on the Cycle symbol. Mudragada is a leader who can not influence his constituency. TDP should stop over-imagining his impact.
So, TDP and Janasena should be very cautious.
