Konidela Naga Babu has played a key background role in the Janasena party for more than a decade. He was hopeful of contesting the 2024 election but could not secure a seat due to the alliance equation.
Pawan Kalyan had been looking for an alternative opportunity for Naga Babu. That has now materialised with his latest appointment in the Andhra Pradesh government.
Naga Babu has been appointed as the chairperson of the AP Green Project. The initiative comes under the forest ministry led by Pawan Kalyan and focuses on increasing forest cover across the state.
Naga Babu was given a special office at the secretariat today. He officially took charge as the Chairperson of the AP Green initiative.
The visuals of Naga Babu taking charge at his new office are now going viral on social media. Janasena supporters and Mega family fans have expressed excitement over his new responsibility.
However, Naga Babu will not receive all the amenities associated with cabinet rank. These include elevated security and additional protocols. He is not part of the cabinet ministry despite his new appointment.
