Naidu raises his voice on Centre

chandra babu naidu not pay salariesWhile the Centre seems to have forgotten the promises its promises to Andhra Pradesh to give Special Status and special incentives, the deficit of the residue State isn’t allowing it so sit quiet taking into consideration the revenue issues or problems at the Centre. Now Mr.Naidu got the oppurtunty to raise his voice. The CM went to attend the ‘Neeta Aayoj’ meet in New Delhi on Sunday, 8th February.

After the meet, speaking to the media Naidu said that he reminded the Centre about the commitments it made during AP Reorganisation. Especially he mentioned the names of Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitly who had committed to the special packages, special status and many other incentives promised during the bifurcation by the witness of Parliament.

Naidu specailly focussed on the ‘level playing field’ to be achieved in AP and how Centre’s indifference can make the State to regression without industries coming to the state. He quoted the example of the revenues collected in both the Telugu States. While AP has an approximate population of about 59%, the revenue collections of AP’s share is only 48%, but in case of Telangana, though the population is 41% , the revenue share is 51%.

To remove these disparities and give scope for level playing field, Naidu once again reminded Centre to keep up its commitments and come to the rescue of the state. Seems the meagre package has created compulsiveness for the CM to raise his voice against the Centre. Lot of dreams to be fulfilled but still at the doorstep of Centre asking it to keep its word!
