Singapore Trip: Lokesh Must Be Careful This Time?

Nara Lokesh Singapore visit

International trips and educational tours are always a part of the Indian political system. Bureaucrats and concerned ministers occasionally travel abroad to understand the global trends and implementations and possibly apply them here in our country.

The recent case of Andhra Pradesh ministers Atchannaidu, Anitha, Anagani Sathya are a part of the same. Now, even minister Nara Lokesh has gone to Singapore with the purpose of understanding the global economy and social development.

Lokesh productive discussions with Singapore’s Joint Implementation Steering Committee on accelerating the Amaravati Economic Region and developing an integrated township in Amaravati.
With Singapore’s expertise, Andhra Pradesh aims to build a model township for India, strengthen Real Time Governance, and emerge as a global MICE and trade gateway connecting Southeast and East Asia, Lokesh posted.

Well, this might sound as a positive update to the neutral ears but not necessarily so for the vested groups in Andhra Pradesh politics.

It should not be long before YSR Congress makes a meal out of this by saying that Lokesh is wasting public money for his Singapore vacations. They will bring out the same narrative about Private planes and luxurious hotels for this Singapore travel.

There is a good chance that this narrative could be spread deep into the public, and this would definitely affect the government.

So it is now the responsibility of Lokesh to meticulously explain the purpose of the visit, the logistical and financial returns from the same to the public. This is the only way this Singapore trip can be validated and explain to the public or else there is every chance of YCP doing all the negative propaganda in the world about the same.
