Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has finalized the initial proposal designs of the new secretariat coming up at Chest hospital, Erragadda. International Architect Hafeez is roped in for the plan of the secretariat and the CM revealed his thoughts to him.
Accordingly, CM office should be in six floors resembling the current high court, Ministers Quarters will come up in four floors and six blocks resembling Assembly building. It may reminded that the Assembly and high court buildings were once Nizam palaces. Continuing the same will mean, the government is continuing Nizam architecture.
Also the Chief Minister wants to put the famous Kakatiya Thoranam (at Warangal) at the entrance of the new secretariat. The HOD offices and other offices in the secretariat are yet to be confirmed. Despite the criticism from many, government is fast gearing up for the Bhoomi Puja at Chest hospital.
