A new terminal at Gannavaram Airport has been inaugurated by Naidu yesterday in the afternoon. The runway of the port would be extended further for which the Chief Minister have performed Bhoomi Puja before the inauguration. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu shared various development plans that are coming up in the state.

Naidu has proposed a name change for the Gannavaram airport. If everything falls into place, the airport would further be called as “NTR Amaravati Airport”. Naidu has also written a request to the Centre regarding the name change and asked the Civil aviation team to take it further. It was also directed to the team to shift the location of Greenfield airport from Dagadarthi to Krishnapatnam.
The Chief minister thanked the farmers who supported the activity by offering their lands and said that he felt bad looking at the current Vijayawada Airport which is smaller than a bus station.
