The deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan had been repeatedly emphasising the need to maintain stability in the NDA alliance. He has been calling for JanaSena leaders to be understanding of the alliance dynamic and act accordingly.
However, certain leaders like Balineni Srinivas Reddy and Pantham Nanaji have been crossing the party lines and speaking as they wish. The recent complaint from Nanaji about Janasena not being established for the principle of supporting TDP, but rise as an independent force was extremely unwarranted at this point in time.
But the positive thing is that Kalyan has made the time to meet the JSP legislative representatives today as they discussed the strategy for the local body election.
This meeting could not have come a better time as certain JSP leaders have been crossing the line when it comes to speaking about the alliance. There is an effort to paint TDP as a villainous entity here which is to be avoided.
There will be obvious tensions and the ground level during the local body elections as TDP and JSP leaders might indulge in face offs here and there. This is more out of the election spirit than anything.
So this crucial direction from Pawan Kalyan to maintain sanity during the campaigns and related events could be of top importance for the JSP top leadership.
