Pawan Kalyan disbursed pensions to beneficiaries in Gollaprolu town of the Pithapuram constituency earlier today.

Pawan criticized the previous government for misallocating funds given to the Panchayat Raj department. “Instead of spending crores on Rushikonda Palace, they could have used those funds for the development of villages,” he stated.

He mentioned that officials at his camp office asked for repairs to the furniture, but he refused and added that he would bring his own furniture if needed.

“When officials from the secretariat came to me for my salary signature, I couldn’t sign. Initially, I planned to work by taking a salary. However, there are no funds for Panchayat Raj right now, and it is in severe debt,” said Pawan.

“Every department’s situation is the same. All these issues need to be set right. I felt it was not right to take salary when the department is in debt. Thus, I refused to take it. I told them that I would work for my country and my motherland,” Pawan added.

Pawan expressed his wish to make Pithapuram a model constituency in the entire country. He said he is not here to earn money or gain more fame but to secure a permanent place in people’s hearts by doing good for them.

Pawan asserted that the government is not promising miracles but will definitely be accountable to the public in the next five years.
