AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan’s mania clicked in Maharashtra as the BJP’s Mahayuti alliance won all but one constituency where Pawan had campaigned.
During his two-day trip to Maharashtra last week, Pawan Kalyan campaigned in Ballarpur, Bhokar, Chandrapur, Pune Cantonment, Kasbapet, Deglur, Sholapur and Latur. Except for Latur City, BJP won in the rest of the constituencies where Pawan campaigned.

In Ballarpur, the BJP candidate Sudhir Sachidanand won by a majority of 25985 votes. In Chandrapur, BJP’s Kishore Gajanan won by 22804 votes. In Bhokar, BJP candidate Sreejaya Chavan secured a huge victory.
In Deglur, BJP candidate Jitesh Raosaheb won with a majority of 42999 votes. In Latur Rural, the BJP’s candidate Ramesh Karad won with a majority of over 6500 votes.

In Pune Cantonment, BJP candidate Sunil Kamble won by 10,320 votes. In Solapur, where the public came in huge numbers to watch Pawan, the BJP won all three constituencies. In Solapur South, Subhash Deshmukh won with a mammoth majority of over 77000 votes. In Solapur Central, Devendra Rajesh Kothe won with a majority of over 48000 votes. In Solapur North, Vijay Deshmukh secured a big victory.
Only in Latur City, BJP lost to Congress candidate, Amit Deshmukh, who was the son of former CM Vilas Rao Deshmukh and brother of actor Ritesh Deshmukh. Amit won with a majority of over 7000 votes.

On the whole, Pawan’s campaigns proved to be a major success and helped the BJP in a big way in getting votes. All these areas have predominantly Telugu population and Pawan’s factor helped BJP in gaining their votes, say the political experts.
