Macherla ex MLA Ramakrishna Reddy and his brother Venkatarami Reddy, known as the Pinnelli Brothers, surrendered before the Macherla Court on Thursday. They reached the junior additional civil judge court in the morning. Police arranged bandobast to prevent any disturbance.
TDP workers Javisetti Venkateswarlu and Javisetti Koteswara Rao were murdered in Vendurti mandal Gundlapadu on May 24. Police booked the Pinnelli Brothers for indirectly supporting the killing to retain local dominance. The Brothers were listed as A6 and A7 in the case.
They first approached the lower Court and then moved to the High Court. Both Courts struck off their petitions, after which they approached the Supreme Court. The Apex Court dismissed their plea and gave them two weeks to surrender.
The Brothers later surrendered as instructed by the Court.
To maintain law and order, YSRCP leader Vidadala Rajini has been placed under house arrest.
