Pithapuram War: Posters Not Bigger Than AP Future!

Pithapuram TDP JSP political clash

The Pithapuram Assembly constituency is one of the most talked about seats in Andhra Pradesh. This constituency is represented by deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and it is a great significance for him.

But in the last couple of years that have been a handful of problematic incidents in this particular segment, and it involves the clashing of TDP and Janasena wings.

Today, an intense brawl broke out between TDP and Janasena within the constituency as JSP’s Pendem Dorababu got into a verbal altercation with TDP’s SVSV Varma.

This fight reportedly originated after Verma pointed out that the banners that were assembled in Pithapuram today do not feature the image of chief minister Chandrababu. He questioned the audacity to assemble banners and posters in Pithapuram without the imagery of CM Chandrababu which is against protocol and also alliance procedures.

This fragmented into an intense verbal conflict and harsh words were exchanged between the concerned groups.

Alas, such misunderstandings and conflicts are always going to be a part of the political scene in an alliance government. But the principal that must be followed here is that these petty issues mustn’t constitute a bigger fight between the parties.

As Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan had been repeatedly pointing out, the future of Andhra Pradesh depends on the stability of the alliance and this is far more important than any banners or images.

Such ugly brawls in the public, do not paint a good picture and will only go on to leave cracks for YCP to pounce on. It isn’t that these issues are too consequential in the larger picture as both TDP and JSP have stuck to a togetherness ideology but such disturbances are to be avoided to the best extent.
